Growing Beautiful Brains: Neurodiversity 101

Learn more about the basics of neurodiversity. What is it? Who can join your team if your child is neurodivergent? When it might be a good time to pursue further support or testing? What does speech-language development look like for neurodiverse children? 

This workshop will highlight  autism, which is a form of neurodiversity that impacts 1 in 36 children. Expect an open, affirming, informal setting to learn and the opportunity to ask questions.

Laura Shumate is a licensed and certified speech-language pathologist who specializes in supports for Autism, late talkers (early intervention), and speech generating devices (AAC). She supports children and young adults through her private practice, Stars Align Therapy.
